The Movement Los Angeles was founded 6 years ago at the Los Angeles Dream Center with a heart to raise up the next generation of world changers. Our dream was to develop a revolutionary program where young people between the ages of 18-25 could come and give 9 months of life in service to Christ and the city of Los Angeles. We recognized that there was a sincere desire amongst the young people of this generation to do something different and give a season of their lives after their high school years.

The Movement is designed to provide a safe environment for students to grow spiritually while receiving mentorship and discipleship that is so crucial during these years of their lives. In addition to the focus on spiritual formation, the students schedule is filled with many opportunities to participate in hands on ministry. There are 2 specific options that students can choose from during their 9 month stay. We have a ministry track option and also an academic track option.

The Movement headquarters is based at the world famous Los Angeles Dream Center under the inspiring leadership of Pastor's Tommy and Matthew Barnett. The Dream Center is a perfect church for students to come and make a tangible impact through their serving of the community through the hundreds of outreaches and ministry opportunities that take place. Another major priority of the program is to ignite in the students a heart that is committed to believing in, fighting for and standing for a cause. We believe that God is looking for a generation of culture creators, young people who would rise above the status quo and change the environment around them.

Our goal as a leadership team is to uncover the dreams and talents within each student, which is why we have specifically designed classes in which the students can take depending on their individual passions. These classes include: worship and music development, youth ministry training, children's ministry training, outreach, foster care ministry, creative communications, dance and more. Over the past 6 years we have seen hundreds of students come and have their lives transformed during their time in the Movement. Due to the intense schedule and time commitment, this program is not for everybody. We do believe however, that there is a group of young people out there that are willing to be set-apart and join this life-changing program. Come be inspired and challenged.
